St Pierre Park offers expert golf tuition for players of all ability. Whether you are an experienced golfer who is looking to fine tune your swing or an enthusiastic beginner who needs to develop your basic skills, St Pierre Park is the perfect location.
Under the guidance of resident PGA professional Steve Wilford, you can learn how to improve your game in an informative, yet informal environment where your requirements are our priority. The key to enjoying your golf is understanding your swing and being able to recognise the adjustments needed to perform to the best of your ability. At St Pierre Park we can help you to understand your swing so that during those difficult moments on the course you have the confidence and ability to remain positive in the knowledge that you can control your swing.
St Pierre Park’s ability to offer golf tuition to players of all ability is crucial in allowing individuals to develop at their own speed. This is particularly invaluable in group coaching sessions as this allows friends and colleagues to participate in some coaching together, regardless of individual ability. Whatever your initial ability, there will be some positive changes in your golfing technique with the addition of enjoying the coaching in a fun, social environment.
Regular ‘Beginner’s Clinics’ are offered at St Pierre Park and these are the perfect setting for new enthusiasts or for individuals who have not played for a number of years. The unique design and content of these clinics ensures that all participants will develop an ability to perform all of the basic aspects required to play golf. From the correct way in which to hold a club, to understanding your swing, you will develop the knowledge needed to enjoy golf.
Developing the golfers of the future and allowing children to learn the game in a fun, friendly and informative environment is a key part of the philosophy at St Pierre Park. Allowing children to learn the game in a relaxed, educational setting is crucial and at St Pierre Park we offer the PGA recognised golf foundation passport which is a national learning programme for juniors of all ages and abilities.
The emphasis of the golf foundation passport is on having fun whilst learning and it includes a series of achievable targets whilst also teaching juniors the rules and etiquette of golf. It is a comprehensive, progressive and structured programme designed to help young people learn about playing golf and it is an ideal learning tool for all aspiring golfers. The programme covers the five core elements of the game – putting, short game, long game, playing and the golfer's code.
